Francis Potter

He looked the most like a monk, or one of the pastors of the old time, that ever I saw one. He had a pretty long visage and pale clear skin, gray eyes. His discourse was admirable, and all new and unvulgar. His house was undeckt as a monk's cell ; yet he had there so many ingenious inventions that it was very delightful. I never have enjoyed so much pleasure, nor ever was so much pleased with such philosophical and hearty entertainment as from him.
